Days after I published an article on grown-up Onesies, my husband was walking down the street on his daily work commute in San Francisco. Walking up Folsom, he saw a giraffe head in sunglasses over the trunk of a parked car (yes, seriously!!). Upon approach, he realized (at 8:45am on a random Tuesday), there was a grown man in a full giraffe onesie. So my husband asks, “Do you mind if I take a picture of you for my wife? She recently wrote an article, and I’m sure she’d love your outfit. She’s got this website called Rooism.” To which he replied, “Absolutely!! Make sure she puts my name, Edward Fluffington, F-L-U-F-F-I-N-G-T-O-N.”
For real?? A guy in a fleece onesie named Fluffington. That’s just too good. My absolute favorite thing of the week!!!
So while still walking to work, my husband sends me this text: “Check out the picture I just sent you. Your article made two people really happy today, Mr Fluffington and me. Rooism rules!”
How special did I feel? I happily connected two different people – one I love and one I don’t even know. What a great way to start out a day ..for all three of us!
Mr Fluffington, whomever you are, you are awesome!
PS: if you see this, PLEASE email me (firstname.lastname@example.org), I would love to give you a big ‘ol hug.
