“One that would have the fruit must climb the tree” – Thomas Fuller. Or read this blog post.. 😉
Breaking all the rules! This blogger is crazy. Who else would do a food truck review and a dress review in the same post???;
Dress: United Colors of Benetton (old). Similar: This beautiful cotton sheath dress by Trina Turk is uber cute; as is this adorable one by Brigitte Bailey – although sans pineapples, there are so many fun prints to choose from, and it’s ~ $30. It’s definitely an every day dress!.
Sunglasses: Tom Ford are the ones I’m wearing and I ADORE them – the lack of a nose bridge makes them unique; plus they’re super light; the same ones in Havana/ Rose Gold are stunning too. (pic.s below)
Back to Crepe Em Coming – A friend invited me to have lunch at his office (my ex-work place), a very cool start up in downtown Mountain View, California. They have a food truck come in every other Friday, and today, it was Crepe Em Coming. It was a spectacular, sunny afternoon, and a bunch of us sat down in the lawn outside for a bite. Quickly, we grew to over a dozen, and before we knew it, it was an outdoor party!
Anyway, I asked for a recommendation (which I always do at a new place) from the guy in the truck, and Ron suggested Pulled Pork BBQ-rrific (described as: Slow cooked and smoked pork served with a fresh tangy vegetable cole-slaw, topped with crispy fried onions and a creamy honey BBQ drizzled). Sounds good to me.. It’s wasn’t just good, it was just AH-MAZING!!!!!
Before I left, I went to speak with the folks, to complement them on their food. “Ron, pork wasn’t top of my list, I wanted to get the chicken or the Indian vegetarian option, but I’m SO glad I listened to your advice. Thank you!!!”. He insisted I try the indian crepe as well (since I was so torn in my choice). I am thoroughly impressed. I know how difficult it is to marry Indian spices with anything non-Indian, and they did it seamlessly and fabulously! Thanks for a lovely lunch, Crepe Em Coming!!
