“Never let the things you WANT make you forget the things you HAVE!” – unknown.
I started a bootcamp class last week… at 5:00 am. Both of these facts are painful. I’m a night owl, but 3-4 hours of sleep is just not working for me, however, I made a commitment to some friends that I’ll join. I don’t take commitments lightly, or my friends! So, I’ve been at this class Mon-Thu; plus running early mornings on Sundays, and it’s taking a lot out of me – both physically and mentally. I’m unable to find the motivation to write, because I’m freakin’ exhausted, which leads to immense frustration.
Then I came across this quote (above), and checked my blog and Facebook stats. Woah!! Over 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ followers on FB, and close to 6000 hits on rooism.com — in roughly a month!! So, while I fight what seems like a losing battle of trying to keep my eyes open, I look at what I have and truck on ..completely overwhelmed with appreciation. I make myself (and my housekeeper) a cup of tea, and now I’m on my laptop, pouring my heart out; writing whatever comes to mind.. Perspective changes everything.
Today, I choose gratitude.
